Whether rolling Payment Rules into the new year or making mid-year adjustments to rates and tiers, Effective Dating Payment Rules ensure that historical Payment structures are preserved in SimplyComp.
Select the Plan and click into the Payment Rule you’d like to update. Select the Clock in the upper right-hand corner. This will open the Version History sidebar. Select the “Add New Version” on the bottom of the screen and enter the start date of the effective date of the new version. Note, you can apply an effective date for a user as a User Specific Rule by following the same path outlined in this document after you have selected a single user on that plan.
Once the new version is set up, you will see a new “card” in the right-hand Version History section. Once you have clicked on the V2 Card, you can update the Tiers and rates while preserving the V1 details. The Payment Rule will function with the V1 attributes for deals in that given timeframe and then will function via the V2 attributes for deals in its given timeframe.
To remove an effective version, select the ellipsis in the top right-hand corner and remove.
