The Rules page in SimplyComp is where you can find all Payment and Quota rules built within your instance. The effective date shows the status of all rules at that point in time. If a rule is not producing a result, a red X will appear in the status. Click directly on the Compensable Report, Payment, and Quota to be brought to the area that needs correcting.
To access this section go to Plans -> Rules
This will show you all the payment rules in a given timeframe. You can alter the “Effective Date” at the top of the page to see what rules are active in a given time period.
Here’s a few common examples of issues
Unassociated Payment Rule
Notice how the Compensable Report is blank. This Payment is not associated to a data set, so it will not pay. Go to Data -> Compensable Report -> Payment Mappings to assign it to a Compensable Report.
Unassociated Quota
Notice how the Quota section is blank. If your payment rule needs a quota to function (Tiers by Attainment for example), you need to associate a quota in the Payment Mappings.
Incorrect Effective Dates
In this example the Quota is active for FY2019 (not FY18) and this payment rule has an effective end date of 2/28/18. The payment rule is NOT active for the correct quota. Either reassign/create a new quota or update the effective dates to get this to function correctly.
