Adding a Mathematical Equation

Similar to adding a Lookup, you can add a math equation in the Compensable Reports to prepare the data for calculations. 

1. Add new column and select the Mathematical formula
2. Create the formula desired, using order of operations. You can test the formula and make adjustments as needed to get the desired results, but are unable to change the column data type.

On occasion with mathematical formulas you will need to create multiple formulas to get to your desired result, especially if the order of operations makes things difficult or you’d like to see the steps in the calculation process more clearly.
