Add Data to a Compensable Event
Navigation: DATA > Compensable Events
There are five ways data can be brought into a Compensable Event:
- Manually enter data
- Import via CSV file
- Import via Salesforce Reports
- Import via the Hubspot integration (contact Support to enable)
- Import via the ConnectWise cloud integration (contact Support to enable)
You will only have the option to import via Salesforce if you sign in using SSO with Salesforce. Every instance has the ability to import via CSV file and manually enter data. You are not limited to choosing only one method.

Manually Enter Data
You can manually enter line items one by one. These steps are followed when all columns are already configured in your table. If you need to add columns to your Compensable Event, follow instructions provided in the Add Columns to Compensable Event article.
- Click into your Compensable Event.
- Click the Add Row Icon found in the top left corner.
- Fill out the row. Note: You will need to have a Unique ID and Date for each line item.
Import via CSV File
Mass upload data using a CSV file. Please note this file will need to be saved as a “Comma Separated Values” file type.
- Click into your Compensable Event.
- Click the Upload Arrow found in the top left corner.
- Select your file.
- Choose the Import Type.
- Choose the Mapping or follow these steps to Create a New Mapping.
- Click Import.
- You will receive a success or error message that outlined what happened in that import. If you receive an error, no line items were brought into the system and a file outlining the errors is produced.
Import via Salesforce Reports
This option is only available if you use Salesforce SSO.
- Click into your Compensable Event.
- Click the Salesforce Cloud Icon found in the top left corner.
- Select the Report you would like to upload. To be in this list, the reports cannot contain groupings, summary, or bucket fields. The report must be in Tabular format. The data from the last time the report was run is what will be uploaded.
- Choose the Import Type.
- Choose the Mapping or follow these steps to Create a New Mapping.
You will receive a success or error message that outlined what happened in that import. If you receive an error, no line items were brought into the system and a file outlining the errors is produced.
