Activate Existing Columns
When adding new Lookup/Mathematical formula columns, the logic will exist for all Compenable Reports, provided you turn on the column in the other Reports. This helps greatly with scaling your build, as logic only needs to be built once and then the same column can be turned on with the flick of a switch to each Compensable Report.
Columns that have dependencies can only be turned off if the dependent columns are turned off. It is best practice to leave more columns versus less, as you never know when you might need them. Also a word of caution - if using different source Compensable Events, don’t turn on columns in a given Compensable Report that pertain to another data set that don’t exist in the other, it will definitely cause issues.
- Select the Add Columns icon in the top left-hand corner of the Compensable Report.
- Switch on/off desired columns, a list of all available columns is listed here.
